Defiance Ventures announced today that it has acquired Tavve, a cybersecurity and ITOA company based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Tavve offers two highly innovative products for large institutions, especially those in Financial Services, to use in a variety of ways to secure and enhance their network infrastructure. Defiance will relocate the company to its headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, to better serve its banking and financial services clients. Defiance is excited to partner with the city council to bring new jobs to the Charlotte market while taking advantage of the financial services talent pool.
“Cyber Security is an increasingly relevant concern for all industries and especially for banking. Tavve’s Zone and Packet Ranger are highly innovative products helping to keep bad actors out while minimizing infrastructure costs. We have an exciting roadmap that we plan to execute in the coming years to take Tavve to the next level” said Kevin O’Dell, CTO of Defiance.
Tavve’s products focus on enabling other vendors’ security/systems/network management software to work in and around secure areas such as the DMZ, extranet, untrusted, hostile, or remote networks. Tavve’s products are currently deployed at more than 115 customer sites worldwide, representing financial services, insurance, health-care, telecommunications, manufacturing, and retail industries as well as service providers, utilities, and the federal government. Tavve also offers consulting services for network management integration and strategies.
