Defiance Ventures Names John Espey CEO

Defiance Ventures today announced that it has appointed its co-founder John Espey CEO of the company.  John will assume responsibility for executing on the venture builder’s strategy as it continues to grow its portfolio and operating companies.

Espey has been involved in various capacities with many technology companies, most recently serving as CEO of LobbyCRE, CEO and co-founder of Levvel, and COO of Nexgrid.

“John and I started Defiance Ventures to help unlock the potential of disruptive enterprise technology platforms.  As our portfolio and team has grown it became clear that we needed an executive and an innovator of John’s caliber to execute on our shared vision”, said Tareq Amin, co-founder and Chairman of Defiance Ventures.  He added, “we have been building our executive team meticulously over the past six months and John is just a natural fit for our needs”.
